New Classes in 2011

I’ve had my thinking cap on lately and decided to offer courses to a group of students (as well as my one-on-one courses.) I’m already working on a couple of teachable subjects, but would love to hear from you. Are there any craft type classes you’d like to take? Is there anything about fiction writing you’d like to learn?

The classes will be 3-4 weeks long with 5-25 participants (depending on the course.) There will be lessons, assignments, peer critiques, and critiques from me.

I’m a teacher by trade, but haven’t taught online classes in a group setting before, so I’m offering the first Guinea pigs, er… students a discounted rate with the understanding that I’d like them to complete a survey at the end of class so I know what worked and what didn’t.

This is my last post until January because I need a little extra time to prepare these new classes as well as enjoy the festivities. I hope everyone has a nice Christmas (and/or any other holiday they may celebrate this time of year.) See you in 2011!

  1. Oooh, looking forward to hearing more about that! Revising and editing, character development, pace and theme/resonance are topics I'm always interested in.

  2. Definitely character development and some tips on the business. ;) You can know the craft as well as you'd like, but the business side of it is important as well.

    See you in January!
