Dreamin' of Disney

I love Disney World. I’ve been there three times, twice as a kid and once for our honeymoon. Yeah, I know, really romantic. Hey, we had a blast. Well, now the time has come for us to consider taking the twins there this summer. They’ll be four. What do you think? Have you had any experience bringing young children to Disney’s parks? What about on an airplane? How does it work with car seats? I know some people bring them with infants, but our car seats are huge and heavy. What do people do for kids this age? Thanks in advance for your advice.

  1. Absolutely, you should! We've gone once a year (my hubby has family in FL, which makes it easier), and my girls (3 and 6) love it. They're just the right age, with their princess fascinations - and old enough to really store away some memories (they really surprise me sometimes). I'm unsure about flying, because we always drive. Good luck with your planning!

  2. My girls were thirteen and ten and everything went smoothly. My only suggestion is to go off season. We went in Feb, so we didn't wait in line for anything, which can be so taxing for little ones.

  3. Well, we just took our kids to Sea World and our four year old had a blast!
I wouldn't bother taking your carseats on the airplane since your twins are older. You can just send them as luggage, or rent some with a vehicle.
While I'm not sure the twins will really remember Disney World when they're older, I still think they'll have a wonderful time now. ;-) You guys would have fun!

  4. Go for it! There are great books at the library on Disney and kids. When we took our 3, they were a little older, but the tips I read beforehand really helped out.

As for flying...ug...with a 1, 2 and 3 year old, it was NOT fun being the only adult to handle them, plus I hate flying.
