Query Crit Contest: Closed

Thanks to everyone who sent in their query for critique.  I have a pile of entries to go through.  I plan on sending a one sentence comment to everyone who doesn't win, so you'll still receive some sort of feedback.  Be prepared.  Most likely that one sentence will be something you need to improve on.  If I was doing a full crit, I could give both positive and negative feedback, but in one sentence, the most important information you need to walk away with is what you need to fix.

I have a busy schedule ahead of me, so don't expect the contest results to be posted immediately.  The winners will be announced in the next couple of weeks.

If you struggled with your GMCs, I offer a three part course all about those nasties.  We'd brainstorm one-on-one, then you'd complete assignments until you understood GMCs enough to apply that knowledge to your manuscript.  The cost is only $25.  I'd be your personal writing coach, allowing you to work at your own pace.

Maybe you'd rather learn about GMCs on your own.  The best book out there on the subject is Debra Dixon's GOAL, MOTIVATION & CONFLICT.

No matter the method, you NEED to understand and implement GMCs into your manuscript or it won't sell.  It's as simple as that.
