Mourning the Loss of a Super Author

Author Michael Van Rooy died of a heart attack yesterday.  He was only 42.  I knew Michael and can't believe he's gone.  He was on his book tour when this happened.  Sooo sad.  I'm still in shock.  He was my friend and will be missed.

  1. So sorry to hear of your friend's passing. We sometimes forget age has nothing to do with dying. Keeping you and his family in my thoughts and prayers.

  2. Lynnette, I am so sorry! Wow, he was younger than me, which means way too young to die.

  3. I saw this in Publisher's Lunch and it made me so sad. I guess it's because he was so young, just gaining momentum in a promising career, and that he was on a BOOK TOUR. Book tours are terribly stressful, but I've never heard of one killing a writer before. It's just tragic.

  5. So young.

I'm so sorry, Lynnette, for your pain and his family's pain, but also that the world lost a good and talented person so soon.

  6. I am so sorry to hear this, thoughts and prayers with you and also his family. So sad - as Mason says we often forget that death has little to do with age. x

  7. That's so sad, and a reality check that age means nothing.
