It's that time again. I've received the Kreativ Blogger award from Amanda Bonilla from The Keyboard. Thanks Amanda.
Here are the rules for the award:
1. Thank the person who nominated you for this award.

Hummm... 7 interesting things about me?
1. I love animals. I own a bichon frise (dog), cat, hamster, and fish, but have owned more animals in the past.
2. I have twin 4 year old girls. Yes, they're identical.
3. I get up at 5 during the week to get a little writing time in before the twins wake up.
4. When my hubby and I met, it was pretty much love at first sight. We met mid November and by January were booking people and places for our wedding, which was in August. Yep, kind of fast, but when you know, you know.
5. I'm vertically challenged. Yeah, kind of forgot to grow. I'm only 5'. You read that correctly. Five foot nothing.
6. I used to teach in French most of the day at a French Immersion school. That's where you take English speaking kids and place them in a French environment. All courses (except English, of course) are taught in French.
7. My first three books were YA romances. Although, I only completed one of them. Now, I'm writing romantic suspense. I've completed two r/s (first draft) and am reworking the second one now.
There you have it, a little something about me.
Now, check out these 7 great bloggers and find out more about them: Roni at Fiction Groupie; Rebecca Emrich at Living a Life of Writing; K.M. Weiland at Word Play; Carrie Kei Heim Binas at Heim Binas Fiction; Stephanie Faris at Steph in the City; Tabitha Bird at Books, Bubs, and Writing Blabber; and Rebecca Knight: Writer in Progress.
And don't forget to tell your friends about my critique group contest. We're looking for romance writers or writers of (genre) with romantic elements. The deadline is Wednesday at midnight, so get the entries in! In case you missed the post, here's a link.
Thanks so much for passing the award along to me! And congrats on receiving it yourself. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award. I always wanted twins until I had kids. And, my hubby and I went from dating to marriage in about a year. It's cool to find things in common.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on receiving the award!
ReplyDeleteYou make me feel tall at 5' 2". :)
Thanks so much, Lynnette! You've made my day!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I'm working on my blog but I'm slow. It's hard to pick out just seven that I like!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I'm so tickled pink thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun learning about you. I am also vertically challenged. 5' and no inches. My daughter, who is fully grown, is 4'11". Stack us and we are pretty tall.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award and thank you for nominating me! That made my day :)
ReplyDeleteTwins...wow! I so admire you.
And french... I speak smatterings of this language and would love to get better at it. I have been to both France and Switzerland and loved that I was able to use a bit of my skill.
Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on the award! You're only five feet? LOL MaryBeth is short too (another blogger who you probably know, lol)
ReplyDeleteVery romantic about you and your hubby!
Congrats on the award, Lynnette. And Congratulations to the others.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Lynnette,
ReplyDeleteBlogging and finishing the website are on my list for September. Thanks for having such a wonderful site.
Yeah, I fell in love with my husband standing in a stairway at college as he walked towards me. I like 'em tall and dark, and he was gorgeous. He's white haired now, but still gorgeous, and it's been 38 years, and we're more in love now than ever. He likes to read the sex scenes for me. He keeps asking, is this me? I tell him all the good ones are!
Sharon
Congrats. This is an interesting list about you. I won't even make any short jokes :) Oh, and don't cut yourself short about your writing. I noticed you put that you "only completed one" of the three books you have written. The fact that you're still here and still writing is an accomplishment, and even our false starts are something to celebrate. They help us find our path so that we CAN complete a novel. So take a bow!
ReplyDeleteHow neat to see some of us have things in common!
ReplyDeleteTabitha, I've been to France and Switzerland, too. Yep, my French definitely came in handy there.
Sharon, beautiful story. I'm a sucker for love at first sight.
Eric, thanks. I changed it to show I've also completed two adult r/s and am reworking the second one. That does sound better, doesn't it? ;)
Lynnette Labelle
Hey, Lynnette, I'm only 5' as well. :) As my mother always said "Great things come in small packages."
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Lynnette! :D This totally made my day!
