If I could afford it and it was worthwhile, yes.

No--because I can't afford it. But I can afford for partials to be edited, and I have done that before.
10. Why do you write?
Because I enjoy it! It's something that is both challenging and fun for me, and I enjoy the entire process.

3. Where are you on the path to publication? Published, querying, or writing/editing? Started a writers’ collective earlier this year. My book, Songs from the Other Side of the Wall, came out on September 1st

5. Do you have a job other than writing? I’m a theologian/philosopher by training and a penpusher by trade.
6. When do you write? An hour a night; every night, as soon as I get home, having spent the bus ride home thinking out what’s going to get written.

8. Have you taken or would you take online writing courses? I haven’t, and I don’t think I would. I meet lots of lovely people on twitter and in the blogosphere and we all mull things through together.
9. Would you have your manuscript professionally edited before sending it out to agents? I self-publish so I don’t send to agents. As a self-publisher I get my manuscript edited to within an inch of its life. If I were submitting, no, I wouldn’t, because I don’t think that’s what an agent’s looking for. They want to see a fresh voice, and you can’t edit in voice
10. Why do you write? Because I can’t paint and I can’t sing. So I write about music and art instead

Still revising, but very close to querying

Whenever I can. I only work part time, so Monday is dedicated to writing.

No! That's a lot of money and I've learned from reading agent/editor blogs that it's really not worth your time to do it.
